To lead strategic development of the combined entity in Turkey, Tim Albertsen, Chief Executive Officer of ALD Automotive | LeasePlan, has appointed Türkay Oktay, previously Managing Director of LeasePlan Turkey, as Country Managing Director of the combined entity. This conditional appointment is effective immediately. Timur Kaçar, General Manager of ALD Automotive Turkey, will be considered for other positions within the Group.
Türkay Oktay is one of the key talents selected from both ALD Automotive and LeasePlan who is best positioned to implement the combined entity’s challenging integration plan moving forward and successfully deliver the strategic development growth targeted in the coming months and years.
Biography
Türkay Oktay was appointed Managing Director of LeasePlan Turkey in 2008. He began his career working for a variety of banks in the departments of treasury, asset and fund management.
Prior to joining LeasePlan Turkey, he pursued his career as General Manager of Derindere Automotive Group between 2004-2008 and as General Manager in Ak Securities between 2001-2004.
He graduated from METU Electrical and Electronics Engineering department and has MBA degree from Bilkent University.
From 2015 to 2018, Turkay also held the position of chairman at TOKKDER (Car Rental and Leasing Association).
