We have collaborated with an NGO ‘Color the life Association’ which works for giving psycho-social support for the kids who have to stay hospital for long term treatment and unfortunately most of these children are fighting with cancer.
ALD Turkey has donated to this NGO to decorate a social activity room which is catchy for children with colorful furniture, toys, TV, computer, books etc. at Children Oncology Department of Göztepe Hospital.
We have built a volunteer team with 24 colleagues to support this project with a motto is ‘Let’s Color the Children’s Lives Together’ .
ALD volunteer team participated actively decorative wall painting at Children Oncology Department. The Walls of the Oncology Department have been colored by ALD employees, in order to create more enjoyable environment for these kids.
Then the team has participated to SOSDES Training Program to learn about effective communication ways with these special kids. After training, the volunteers started to organize social activities with these children at ALD Social Activity Room at weekends.
In addition to that; a large toy box has been placed in the entrance and everybody in company brought toys/books and left within the box to be presented to the children in our hospital visits.
